Hels Sherridan Workshop

Hey Peeps

Had a most marvellous morning at Dawn Bibby's Studio with the lovely Hels Sheridan on Sunday Morning.

All the ladies where fabby and we had a really good laugh, I also met up with some of my fellow Chocolate Baroquians too, So big thanks to Sarah for geeing me up and inviting me along .... can't wait for the next one :)

All the stash/stamps/findings etc used were Tim Holtz stuff.
I used Aged Mahogany & Vintage Photo DI's and Victorian Velvet D. Stains.

Its basically two tags large and medium, largest used as a wrap. I used quite muted colours, some of the ladies went quite dark which showed up the white stamped resist brilliantly.

Happy Monday

Hey Peeps
Mondays seem to have become my Sunday .... ah the joys of part time work ..... They are now my quiet days devoted to minimal house work and lots of crafting .........Think I shall christen it Meday lol. Yes that may sound quite selfish but if I've learned anything from this stupid illness its how to have a me day ha ha.

Anyway enough of me, hows you lot, hope all you mums had a lovely day and all you un-mums had a peaceful day :)

Today I've been mainly using my unloved stamps again (note last post as I hang my head in shame).

Such a naughty girl .......

Hi Peeps,
I've been busy over the last few weeks having a clear out of cupboards etc, and sorting through my stash, ...mainly my stamps and I'm seriously annoyed with myself.......... I have so many stamps that I haven't even taken out of the packet ... I know I'm probably not the only one,  why do we do it ..... ha ha
On a good note I've found my camera ... but not the charger oops.

Anyway I've kind of challenged myself to go through and use every set....... I've made quite a few using my Chocolate Baroque stamps, which I do tend to use the most, but let myself down with my Tim Holtz ones so here's two to start with ... I've used the same layout for both, another challenge to me.

If anyone know of a good layout challenge blog, please leave me a message and a link :)

Alpha Tags Swap - March

Hi Peeps
Here's my E, F, & G tags for this months Chocolate Baroque Tag swap, pop over and have a look.

I was really rushed last month, so this month I've taken my time and planned ahead, so I have good ideas for the next few batches  :)

I'm adopting the recipe idea Ive seen on a few peoples blogs, mainly because I tend to waffle ha ha.
All my tags are cut with Tim Holtz Tag die.

Tag E for Edwardian
Eccentric Edwardian Stamp set - Chocolate Baroque
Distress Ink - Aged Mahogany, Tea Stain, Vintage Photo.
Versafine - Vintage Sepia
Scrap of card and tissue paper.

I coloured up the tag, Stamped the script and clock.
Stamped the Gent image on white card and clear embossed it. Edged the cutout image with a little DI.
Stamped the book on thick card and repeated on tissue for the pages. Cut them out and assembled 'book'. I shadowed the Gent with a bit of DI and stuck down images.
Finally just added a bit of bronze cord and a grommet to the hole.

Tag F for Flurry of Florals
Assorted Chocolate Baroque Papers
Crealies creative flower dies  - CL CF 02, 20 & 06
Spellbinders foliage die
Cats eyes chalk ink pads - Wisteria & Lavender
A few pearls and a bit of pink ribbon.

I coloured the tag with the cats eyes, cut out lots of flowers, coloured the petal edges with chalk inks, shaped and stuck them.
Then I just arranged them stuck them added a few leaves and pearls and a bit of ribbon.

Tag G is for Gold
Filigree Fusion stamp set - Chocolate Baroque
Crealies Dies CL CF 20 & CL CF 16
Viva Decor - Inka Gold
Ranger tarnished gold EP  and Versamark
Gold card
Gold markers
Pearls and fibres.

I cut the tag, stamped & embossed the image twice once on the  tag & one on scrap for the flower, edged the tag with the marker. I cut the flower and foliage and rubbed all over with Inka Gold paint.
I coloured a few dots with the marker and coloured the pearls too, then just added the fibres.

Phew done ha ha
Its great fun and I've received four lovely tags already  :)  Only 19 to go ladies !

Off to try and find my camera which hasn't turned up yet from the move (nearly 12 months) but I'm so fed up of the rubbish photos off my phone ! Wish me luck.

Lots of news

Hi Peeps

I was one of the lucky winners of this months Crafty Individuals Challenge !!!!! Spring -With my shabby post cards, I'm really please with my little self and hey its doesn't take much so as you can imagine I'm happy as a pig in poop, so thanks Jean and Malc and congrats to the others who also have a lovely CI stamp whizzing its way to them.

My poorly furry baby Toni (the twinkle) is finally out of her lamp shade, off antibiotics and rid of the Frankenstein's monster style staples, we think Fred may have helped relieve her of her first stitches, hes always washing her, anyway shes flying round the house like a loon so she obviously better. Except when shes helping me to craft... she now has her own cushion next to me ... it stops her 'tiding' my ribbon box ! Ignore my Ironing in first one ha ha and yes she is playing with my Ipad shes an ICat.

The kitchen, dinning room, swap round, knock through is finally finished (well except the new flooring) poor hubby is shattered but its fabulous, I'm sooo pleased with it ! It was worth the mess and dust etc but never again ha ha. Will post some pics when its clean ha ha

The lovely Elaine over on Wheelers Craftiness has passed on this award to me, Thank you Elaine its lovely of you to think of me. I don't usually participate with awards as I find them a little time consuming, and remind me of chain mail which I have an aversion too, and to be truthful I also find it hard to pass them on as I don't actually know enough bloggers to pass them on to ha ha, but Ive made an exception just this once.

The idea for this award is to spread the love from one small blog (under 200 followers) to another. This helps to spread the knowledge and readership.
To accept the award you must:
1. Link back to the person who gave it to you and thank them for thinking of you.
2. Post the award to your blog.
3. Give the award to 5 bloggers (with less than 200 followers) that you appreciate and value.
4. Leave a comment to the 5 bloggers to let them know you have chosen them for the award.

My 5 are listed below .... I do appreciate that a lot of people don't participate with awards, for the same reason I usually don't, So ladies I wont be offended if you don't take part but this is a good one to get the traffic flowing.
