Good Crafternoon ........

Hey Peeps
Been having some me time this morning and ive up-cycled/altered an old gift box :) thought id give it a friend whos just shabby chic'd her bedroom.

Stuff Ive Used
Images from Graphics Fairy (some printed on copy paper some on tissue paper)
Matt Modge Podge
Viva Decor Clear Croco cream and Inka Gold paint
Adirondack - expresso
Distress stain - vintage photo
Couple of tips if you havent tried traditional decoupage before
Inkjet printer ink can bleed :( either try dabbing your images with PVA first n let them dry before using or spritz them with water both sides and dab colour run away, this can give a nice faded look. Or you could get someone to photo copy the images as lazer printing shouldnt bleed :0
Tear your images out as this softens the edge and makes them blend in better although lots of layers of sealer will do the same .
I like the grungy look of brush lines but a damp sponge will smooth ridges out if you chosen sealer/varnish looks bumpy.
Using your heat gun to dry it off between coats may make you images lift (learned that one quick)
Have a bash its lovely and messy :)
Im entering my make into
http://panpasteluk.blogspot.co.uk/ Pan Pastel  Challenge 32 - Decoupage
http://www.sarahhurleychallenges.blogspot.co.uk/ Sarah Hurley Challenge 71- Alter something

Christmas ??? Me ...never

Hey Peeps
Ive made a Christmas card to enter the lovely Tabitha's Christmas in July Challenge on Tabitha's Kitchen

I Bah Humbugged all the way through ha ha ha ..I'm seriously notorious for,,,,, not making cards for Christmas till at least I've stopped wearing tee shirts,  and ,,,,,getting rather grumpy when people start asking me what I want ? lol.......... but I decided to have a go ........and to be honest I enjoyed myself lol ..........so thanks Tab it got me through another sleepless night and at least I've got one ticked off my list.

Ive used a Chocolate Baroque stamp, I have quite a few of their Christmas ones and I just love them, out they come every year and TBH I always do the same sort of style with them, but I do like a bit of shabbiness.

Oops forgot to add the stuff Ive used sorry
Chocolate baroque - stained glass xmas stamp set and seasons greetings (CD) backing papers
Coredinations card
Ribbons n buttons from stash

Happy Friday

Hey Peeps

Just a quicky to show you this card I made for one of hubbies work mates :) hope the schedule thing works it been being a pain lol if its Friday 7pm it has :)

It all white !!!! I had to scrub my mat and my hands and everything just to make sure it stayed that way lol.............. Mucky Paws and white don't normally mix well.

I mainly used embossing folders and Nestie dies , the sentiment was printed on vellum then quickly sprinkled with detail clear EP to give it some texture xx and lots of die cut vellum swirls and leaves. Made a nice little box too xx

And on a sad note .......due to my other commitments and also ongoing health issues I've had to step down from my DT post at Vintage Elusions and running the challenges in FB group Creative Moments Bloggers Network (sorry cant do the link it wont let me?)

I.d like to take this opportunity to thank them all for the chance to work with them and I wish All the girls continuing success with their new venture and VE xx
